Instrument consisting of two flat and tapering staffs with the tips missing (one with an extremity jointed at 2.4 cm) marked by an orthogonal segment in relief at the circular hinge attachment, held together by a central clinched pin. Two short horizontal grips on each pole permit the aperture of the compass to be calibrated.
