The work was uncovered in the area of Giardino Spagna. During the archaic period, this area was a necropolis, and from the end of the 4th century BC it was transformed into a residential district. It may well be that the naiskos, dedicated to the guardian divinities of the house, was in one of the rich houses in the area.
