1st century A.D.
Soprintendenza Speciale per i Beni Archeologici di Napoli e Pompei
Inv. 58100

The amphorae produced in Greece had their own characteristics, differing from those of the Italian territory; both the shapes and the kind of clay used were different. This amphora, manufactured on the Island of Rhodes, has an illegible inscription on the neck.
