Satyr

Second half of the 1st century A.D.
Naples, Museo Archeologico Nazionale
Inv. 9120

A young satyr wears a wreath of ivy leaves on his head, a panther skin around his neck. There is a lacuna where the right hand should be, making it impossible to know whether he is holding a bunch of grapes, of which only a few leaves remain.
