Vase decorated with drunken satyr

350-300 B.C.
Naples, Museo Archeologico Nazionale
Inv. Stg. 93

This small vase is shaped like a satyr holding a wineskin, with a band around his head to cover his incipient baldness. His right arm is raised above his head, in the typical position of drunken satyrs in a Dionysian procession.
