Circumference
“The circumference of the circle is the line that surrounds the figure in such a way that all the straight lines drawn to it through the center of the circle are equal in length to one another. This concept is also called ambitus, circuitus, curvatura, circulus and in Greek is known as the periphereia.” (Cosmographiae introductio, chap. I - Hessler 2008)
