  • Steelyard with one end configured as a panther’s head

The end of this unusual steelyard is configured as a panther's head, filled with lead to increase its weight. With no pan for weighing goods, this belongs to a special type in which the hanging hook is mobile. The weighing is achieved by sliding the suspension bracket along the toothed graduated plate fixed above and parallel to the steelyard beam. This kind of steelyard is commonly known as the "Danysh type."
