Archimedes, Opere geometriche
The manuscript is a copy of the Archimedes owned by Giorgio Valla (Codex A) and then lost. It was commissioned by Politian on a visit to Venice in a quest for codices for the library of Lorenzo de' Medici. The manuscript contains many Archimedes' works, including On the Sphere and Cylinder, The Measure of the Circle (with a commentary by Eutocius), On Conoids and Spheroids, On Spirals, On the Equilibrium of Planes (with a commentary by Eutocius) and The Quadrature of the Parabola.
