Room IV, entered by passing from the Tuscan room through that of Milan, housed the small but well curated exhibitions of Bergamo, Brescia and Pavia. Bergamo participated thanks to Mons. Giuseppe Locatelli, director of the Municipal Library, who selected some two hundred works of scientists from Bergamo and various objects and memorabilia of the explorer Costantino Beltrami. Coordinating the participation of Brescia was a committee headed by Eugenio Boggiano, Director of the National Archive. Like Bergamo, Brescia too exhibited mainly books and manuscripts, including the complete works of Niccolò Tartaglia. Lastly, Pavia displayed memorabilia of Alessandro Volta, the anatomical collections of Antonio Scarpa and texts by Mantegazza and others. The materials were selected by Guido Sala.
