While Rome claimed the title of "imperial capital", Florence that of "cultural capital" and Milan that of "moral capital", Turin undoubtedly considered itself the "technological and industrial capital" of Italy. In the three rooms reserved to it, visitors could admire FIAT automobiles and collections of memorabilia linked to Galileo Ferraris, Icilio Guareschi and Alfonso Cossa. On the whole, over five hundred pieces were sent from Turin and its surroundings. The regional committee, whose members included representative of the most important scientific institutions in Piemonte, was chaired by Carlo Baravalle with the assistance of Achille Bologna and Stefano Bricarelli.
